Owl Pellet Dissection Class at CANC Taught by CAMN Volunteer Katherine Becker

Article and Photos by Bill Toland

Katherine Becker led an Owl Pellet Dissection Class at CANC for about fifty fifth grader students. After a short power point presentation the teams were able to take apart the pellets and attempted to describe what animal remnants they found. Lots of skeleton bones and fur!

All were engrossed in the project. After all, how often do you have an owl Pellet in your possession?
