Buffalo River Biathlon

Second annual biathlon, participants run/walk six miles on the rugged, beautiful Buffalo River Trail, then paddle a kayak six miles back downstream. Start at Dillards Ferry (Highway 14 bridge south of Yellville), run on the trail to Spring Creek Campground, paddle back downstream.
There is a fee for participants, with awards and tee shirts, possibly dinner & music night before, etc. Most details are not known at the time of this calendar entry … info available from the National Park Service (Buffalo National River) or Pirate Perry Events as the date approachessss.
Master Naturalists (NCAMN) serve as volunteers on race day, and also prepare the trail for the events.
